Working Out the Kinks

Still can't post new pics...coming soon.

We are working out the kinks still, especially the morning routine.

Right now I have two long leashes tied into the ground. I tie two dogs on the leashes in the morning, Albert and Sally. George can roam free because he stays local and is slow moving. Both Albert and Sally will roam.

I need a fence and funds have limited this as of yet. I need about $500 to do it right from Home Depot and am not close to that. So for now it is the leashes. My neighbors cannot see the leashes and probably wonder how I have such great control over the dogs. Because of the distance between properties, all you can see is the dogs on grass.

Also, my PC monitor on my laptop fried...I can barley see the screen as I type. A short almost destroyed the thing.

So...little by little. Overall, I love the place and TN is wonderful. Very Mayberry where I live. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.

I will visit many of your sites when I am more settled...still working on DL, Registration, tags...all the fun stuff!

So Far, So Good

I've had no Internet connection so have been out of touch but just found out today my neighbors have a wireless connection that I tapped into...so free Internet!

That was a surprise!

The dogs have been doing well until last night. I threw a tennis ball for George and Albert ran after it. They met the ball at the same time and George grabbed Albert in the neck. I had to chock him for him to release. Then he went after him again. This was disappointing.

So for an encore Sally trumped George and ran after a loose dog in the backyard. Mind you, these yards have no fences between yards and one acre blends into another.

This black shepherd runs through backyards and Sally went after her on the leash. I decided to let her chase this dog and see what happens. I knew the dog was harmless. Sally went after her like a an addict after the next fix.

She then trotted back.

I felt proud of her. She defended her turf!

My new neighbors are great on both sides. One of which is a dog lover herself. I am blessed to have such wonderful neighbors.

When I get my camera and PC set up right I will post pics...lots of good ones.

Arrived Safely!

We are all in TN now...arrived safely. Drove the 2k miles w/three dogs and they were GREAT!!!

I got here and was both blessed and surprised by a home virtually all set up for me by my best buddy and his family.

Am at library now and will get Internet service and all the rest shortly.

Also am going to build a fence soon as well.

Pics coming...

We're Finally Off!

Well, it is happening today as of 4:30AM.

We are moving to TN!

I am tired, went through the craziest week of my life--from Seinfeld one night to leaving for TN in a week.

YES...I am exhausted...but God provided a lot of help in my parents and friends.

I cannot blog from the road, but I will have good stories to share. All four of us are driving together. Albert in back seat/upper deck, Sally back seat/lower deck, George front seat passenger.

Wish us well!
Joe
